BMW Group Malaysia recently unveiled the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport, introducing a higher-specification variant to the fourth-generation BMW X3 lineup, following the successful introduction of the New BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport in June 2025, while also announcing the official retail price of the All-New BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport after its recent debut alongside the All-New Locally-Assembled BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Pro. Together, the two additions further broaden BMW Group Malaysia’s premium mobility portfolio, offering customers greater choice across both petrol and fully electric Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs).
Building on the success of its predecessors and the New BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport, the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport arrives as the higher-specification variant of the fourth-generation BMW X3 range. The fourth-generation BMW X3 has been engineered to deliver a balanced driving experience that is as comfortable as it is dynamic, featuring an advanced suspension system and hallmark BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport strengthens the current BMW X3’s position as the uncontested pioneer in its segment, offering heightened performance through its more potent four-cylinder powertrain while maintaining the refined long-distance comfort that has made the SAV a global success for over two decades.
Meanwhile, the All-New BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport adds a stylish and spacious long-wheelbase variant to BMW’s popular compact electric SAV portfolio, following its recent debut in Malaysia. With extended rear-room comfort, hallmark BMW driving dynamics, and an electric range of up to 433 km (WLTP), the new variant further broadens the appeal of the all-electric BMW iX1 for customers seeking everyday versatility in a premium fully electric SAV.
The New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport: Bold Presence Through Sporty Sophistication.
The New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport's exterior emphasises a powerful and modern presence through expansive surfaces, as well as precisely sculpted contours that accentuate the distinctive, large Pearl Chrome BMW kidney grille with BMW Iconic Glow Lighting. This is paired with Adaptive LED headlights – newly introduced in the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport variant – to provide a sharp, focused gaze. The advanced lighting system features cornering light for enhanced visibility through bends, no-dazzle 12-segment high-beam headlights with BMW Selective Beam and automatic headlight range control for optimal illumination, plus distinctive blue design accents that underscore the vehicle's premium character.
Meanwhile, the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport's side profile is defined by an elongated bonnet, long wheelbase, short overhangs and dynamic, large wheel arches with a forward-leaning angle, as well as a rising window graphic and reinterpreted Hofmeister kink. This, in combination with the SAV’s wide dimensions, achieves a planted and dynamic stance. Further accentuating its athletic character, the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport rides on 20-inch M light alloy wheels in Double-spoke style 1036 M Bicolour, paired with M Sport brakes in dark blue metallic – both exclusive to this variant. At the rear, the new split rear lights are characterised by a double L-shape, with the turn signal positioned between two lighting elements. Its performance-focused character is complemented by the Exterior Line Satin Aluminium trim, which adds a sophisticated contrast.
Stepping into the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport reveals a premium cabin designed to evoke comfort and relaxation through a clean design and intelligent choice of materials. The focal point of the interior is the frameless BMW Curved Display, which combines a 12.3-inch instrument display with a 14.9-inch touched-enabled control display. Below it, the BMW Interaction Bar provides access to various other functions and is also the staging area for dynamic ambient lighting. On the far ends of the instrument panel and dashboard, two triangular illuminated trim elements create a seamless transition to the doors, framing the cockpit – within them, the integrated control panels include an air vent, a door opener and, on the driver's side, buttons for the seat memory function. Other interior furnishings include floor mats in velour. As part of the M Sport package, the M Anthracite headliner is standard, alongside various M Sport interior items and ornamental elements with M logo.
From the driver seat, the flattened bottom section of three-spoke M leather steering wheel enables greater comfort when entering and exiting, while variable sport steering and gearshift paddles provide precise control for a dynamic drive. The sport seats for both driver and front passenger are equipped with active seat ventilation and lumbar support – both introduced in the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport variant – alongside electric adjustment with memory function. Enhancing the sense of space and modern luxury are several equipment exclusive to the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport variant, such as the Panorama glass roof, BMW Individual Magnolia fine-wood trim with fine print, and Harman Kardon surround sound system with 15 speakers and a 765-watt digital amplifier. For convenience and comfort, the travel & comfort system and through loading system are included as standard.
The New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport introduces several refined interior appointments that are also applied to the previously introduced BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport. These include inner door openers and accents in dark silver, cover door controls with black depth effect, door covers in high gloss black, and entry sills. The i-panel and middle console accents in dark silver, along with textile-laminated triangle panels, contribute to a sophisticated and tactile interior environment.
Powering the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, integrated with 48V mild hybrid technology to deliver a distinctly responsive and efficient driving experience. This powertrain produces a robust output of 258 hp (190 kW) and 400 Nm of torque, enabling the SAV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, with a top speed of 240 km/h. Power is seamlessly distributed through the eight-speed Steptronic transmission and the intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system, ensuring optimum traction and hallmark driving dynamics across all terrains. The new SAV’s advanced standard suspension now ensures even greater precision and light-footed handling as well as increased ride comfort. Stiffer bearings on the rear axle, comprehensively revised stabiliser mountings, an increased rear track width and a more direct steering ratio all contribute to a balanced driving experience under all circumstances.
Safety for both long distance and everyday driving in the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport is ensured through its comprehensive range of intelligent driver assistance systems. As standard, the SAV features the Driving Assistant Plus suite, which includes Lane Change Warning with active steering intervention, Front Collision Warning with brake intervention, Evasion Assistant for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, including when turning and at intersections, Speed Limit Display with no-overtaking indicator and pre-warning, Attentiveness Assistant, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning with brake intervention, Exit Warning, Rear Collision Prevention, Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function, as well as Steering and Lane Control Assistant. Meanwhile, parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces are made effortless through the Parking Assistant Plus. The Camera- and ultrasound-based system includes Park Assist, Reversing Assistant, Active Park Distance Control, Surround View System, Remote 3D View, BMW Drive Recorder, Anti-Theft Recorder.
The New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport sets a new standard for intuitive digital interaction, featuring the latest BMW Operating System 9 in conjunction with the BMW Controller. The system is optimised for touchscreen and voice control using natural language through its graphic interface and menu structure. As an alternative to the map of the BMW Maps navigation system, the large BMW Curved Display can also permanently show the My Modes interface and, if activated, Android Auto or Apple CarPlay in full-screen mode. Meanwhile, QuickSelect features live widgets that provide immediate touchscreen access to entertainment features, contact lists, vehicle settings and many other menu items. While BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant provides in-car voice assistance, other voice assistants such as Apple Siri or Google Assistant can also be used via a paired smartphone. Connectivity is further elevated with the inclusion of the Personal eSIM, Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices and a wireless charging tray, ensuring that the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport remains a truly connected and intelligent companion on the road.
Exterior colours for the New BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport include Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Dune Grey and Tanzanite Blue, accompanied by Veganza Perforated Leather in black for the interior trim.

Building on the success of the BMW iX1’s portfolio and further expanding the Power of Choice for premium electrified mobility, the All-New BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport enhances the compact electric SAV with a 110 mm extended wheelbase and an overall length increased by 116 mm. These proportions significantly improve both presence and interior spaciousness, while offering an additional 81 mm of legroom and 107 mm of kneeroom for greater rear-seat comfort.
